Combat boots are one of those items I've shied away from for years. Something about many of the styles I would see just felt too edgy for my personal taste. I didn't want to waste money on them if I wasn't going to be able to wear them often and for years to come. However, I've always loved the slim silhouette at the ankle, because they tend to be very flattering in that way. I don't buy a lot of shoes, but when I do, I really think through my purchase and tend to spend a little more on footwear.
Recently, I came across this classic pair and felt I would finally give them a try. I'm so glad I did, especially as it starts to get colder here. I was a bit hesitant from the stock images on the website, but in person, they're great. Utilitarian --- stylish, yet simple and in the perfect shade. They compliment both black and brown tones nicely, plus everything in between.
So you can see them in action, I styled these boots in a few different ways with my friend Chloe in this IGTV video on my Instagram page. Hopefully the video gives you a better sense of the style, as well as some potential classic outfit ideas! I'll put each look below for easy reference. I've really enjoyed the challenge of adding this new shoe to my wardrobe and thinking of new ways to style them. I've been pairing them with denim and coats recently, just because its cold out, but I'd love to style them this Spring with some feminine dresses as well.
