An Easy, Comfortable Summer Dinner Date Outfit

My friend Megan has been raving about this tank for weeks, so I took her recommendation and snagged it. I'm so glad I did! I wore it for the first time this past weekend and it was a hit. The quality is absolutely outstanding and the silhouette is perfection. It's a forever tank — one that can be easily dressed up with a skirt, paired with denim on any weekday, or layered under cardigans in the Fall. For now, it's perfect for warm summer date nights whether you're on holiday or at home. I also have this square neck tank from a few years back that comes in at a lower price point and is just as perfect. To knock the chill off in the restaurant (I'm always cold when we go out to eat) I draped this cotton-cashmere sweater over my shoulders and ended up wearing it during the meal. I've worn it so much since I bought it — truly the perfect year-round piece!

The skirt I wore this past weekend is an old silk style from Apiece Apart, but I sourced some similar options above. I love wearing a maxi skirt in the summer months, especially with an espadrille. Such an effortless and easy pairing that feels like quintessential summer to me.

Bags are just the best, especially summer bags. I love cane details. Whether it's a chair in my living room or a handbag on my arm, I can't get enough. Summer is the perfect time to bring out statement bags, raffia options and cane styles — all are easily paired with just about any ensemble.

Last but certainly not least, a comfortable summer shoe to complete the look. As I've gotten older, I prioritize comfort in my shoes, especially now that I'm chasing around a toddler. My espadrilles are easy to throw on and walk out the door. My favorite, no fuss kind of shoe.
