Style Guide Series: Favorite Clothing Shops For Children

My Favorite Clothing Shops For Children

I'm often asked where I enjoy shopping most for my girls, so I thought I'd put together a comprehensive list of my go-to shops and brands for classic, feminine finds. I've included everything from dresses to swimwear below. I'll continue to add to this list as I find new sources. I hope you'll find it helpful!

J.Crew ― I always buy staples here. These shorts, classic jeans/leggings and their pointelle tees

Little English ― where I find most of our pretty blouses and staple shirts for school

LAKE ― our go-to for quality pajamas, always. I buy one size too big for some comfortable grow room

Carter's ― always able to find a handful of options for baby at inexpensive price points with their Little Planet line. Love the soft organic cotton and cute details on this one I got for Madeline

Ballet ― I've purchased several of Meriwether's outfits from this brand. She especially loves the tutu I got for her. They fit true to size and are still in great shape going into our second year!

Louelle. ― love these apron bibs. Just got it in white for Madeline

The Proper Peony ― the white dress in the above image is from them!

WeeOnes Classic Bow ― This is a great toddler bow with a no slip grip. Find their full collection here. I also enjoy buying ribbon from our local craft store to make ribbons for her ponytail! I use a lighter to quickly heat seal the ends

Ann & Reeves ― I got custom smocked outfits for the girls in blue from them...precious!

Sleepy Doe ― recently purchased some floral matching pajamas for the girls and I love how soft and cozy their fabrics are

L'Amour ― I wore their shoes when I was a girl...a great choice for a timeless, reliable shoe. These are the style photographed on Meriwether and I also snagged these for the fall.

Maisonette ― I always enjoy browsing their brands and selections!

Staple Shoes ― I snag a pair of these sandals in white (easy to get on and off with the velcro buckle) and these tennis shoes each year. They're ultra versatile and can hold their own against the busy life of a toddler! I used to buy the simple version in the tennis shoes each year when Meriwether was younger. Unfortunately they don't come in larger sizes.

Hanna Andersson ― also love stocking up on staples here. These tees (short sleeve too), ribbed leggings (these leggings for baby Madeline), and quality socks (here for Meriwether & here for Madeline)

A Soft Idea ― this roll neck sweater has been an all-time favorite purchase for Meriwether. I went two sizes up for multiple season of wear and cuffed the sleeves

Lovevery ― so happy with all of our shipments thus far. The play gym is incredible too! Madeline's favorite toys are always from Lovevery. They keep her busy when I need to tend to her older sister or spend some time in the kitchen!

Bloomere ― adore their nap mats, blankets, and bibs!

Smallable ― could not love these little dolls more! I got one special doll for each of my girls (here for Meriwether & here for Madeline)

L.L. Bean ― both of my girls have this boat and tote for travel with the zip top in Natural with long handles...practical and so cute! Their names are in the thread color Natural in font Times Bold.

Trotters London ― I enjoy buying special pieces from them, like Madeline's first Easter sweater

Minnow ― tip: I always purchase their rash guards one size too big for two seasons of wear. Then I buy fresh solid swim bottoms as needed from this brand here. Meriwether's tend to get picked from sitting down on the side of the pool, so this has proven to be a great solution year over year!

Superga ― I've loved these classic tennis shoes for myself for years and now Meriwether has a pair in her closet. Great quality as always

Olivier London ― sweetest scalloped hats in Liberty prints

Pearl Street Swim ― precious patterns offered every season! You can't go wrong here with quality and style. Excited to see the girls in their matching daisy print next year!

Babiators ― cutest sunnies that are lightweight and easy to wear. We have these and these!

Kissy Kissy ― my go-to brand for all things classic for our baby Madeline. I usually stick with their "essentials" pieces that I can mix and match easily!

Widgeon ― the best cozy fleece jackets!

Meri Meri ― the most adorable finds for seasonal parties. Always inspired by their selections

Zara & H&M ― feel a bit silly putting these on here because I feel like everyone shops with them, but I love browsing often for inexpensive, cute finds!

*If you're in Nashville, I love stopping into local stores like Patch and Magpies!
