Fluted Vases & Things

I don't do it often enough, but I love creating floral arrangements from my local grocery store. It's not only fun, but can be rather inexpensive, especially when you keep it simple. I'm no florist, but when I get the chance, I love taking my time and pulling different options from the buckets to find the perfect pairing. This trip was for a special friend's baby shower. We made market bouquets for the guests to take home as a party favor and we had some flowers left over.

I love bringing them home, arranging them, deciding where they'll look best and then finding the perfect vase. I really enjoy the contrast of wild, unruly flowers against a structured, sophisticated glass vase. Especially a fluted one. The vase shown here is approximately 9in high, making it the perfect height to prop up tulips and other florals that don't have much sturdiness at the stem. I've rounded up a bunch of lovely options below.

My newest favorite flower is the fringed tulip. I'm wanting to get some bulbs to plant in the Fall for this coming Spring...wouldn't it be pretty to have an entire row of them? My friend Moriah mentioned planting a ditch of them somewhere at her house, and I could go for that too!

In all that's happening in our world right now, do a little something that makes you happy. For me, every time I turn the corner and see these gorgeous flowers, I smile inside. We deserve it!
