My parents recently sold our childhood home in Virginia to downsize a bit and prepare for life as they get a little older. They found the perfect cottage to remodel where they can take advantage of one-level living. It's perfectly nestled into the heart of our hometown, so they can walk to the farmer's market or to local restaurants and shops. The remodel has been a huge undertaking, but they're finally seeing it all come together. I'm happy they'll be in a house they love that suits them in this new stage of life.
One of the things I helped my mom with when they were moving out of our old house, was replacing light fixtures. She invests in her lighting and wanted to take the majority of it with her.
