Thoughtful Hospitality (or Gift) Basket Ideas to Make Them Smile

Recently, our Nashville rental property gained new tenants! I went to deep clean it, and started putting together a welcome basket for them to enjoy upon move in. I've had the best time finding little things to add, but needed a few more items to include. One of my friends, Nikki, said her parents give a gift card to a local grocery store upon arrival (and again at Thanksgiving), which I thought was such a kind gesture! So far in my basket, I have some doggie treats (they have a little poodle) a dog toy, a gift card to the pet store, a grocery list notepad, and a candle.

After asking my friends on Instagram, they gave me so many wonderful ideas for hospitality/gift baskets, so I wanted to gather them together on a blog post for easy reference in the future! It's really nice to be able to browse and order your basket items from the comfort of your home, and it makes it easier to find those truly unique and special items.

Some of these ideas are specific to a moving situation (toilet paper and trash bags are always a great thing to have), but you could easily pull from this list for many other occasions. Maybe you have a guest coming to stay with you, or you're attending a housewarming. Maybe a girlfriend just welcomed a new baby and she needs some extra TLC. Or maybe, you want to show a friend you're thinking of them during a hard time. Whatever the reason, these fun ideas are sure to make anyone smile. I kept everything around $50 or below, so you can really mix and match something special and personalized!
