Waiting For Spring
This past weekend I came across these petite rose plants at our local grocery while getting Meriwether the light pink balloon she'd requested.
This is the time of year when I really start to miss gardening and the beauty of Spring, so it felt right to bring one home with us. I swapped out the original vase for one of my favorite aged terracotta ones.
With the freezing temperatures and barren landscape of the winter season, it’s always nice to welcome a few small flowering plants indoors. Last winter I bought a jasmine plant that's somehow still flourishing.
These little blush blooms had me smiling all weekend as they reveled in the winter sunshine through our kitchen window. I'm looking forward to enjoying them as we await my favorite season of the year! Spring can't come soon enough —
Since we'll have a new baby joining us next month, I ordered a bunch of wildflowers so we can enjoy a thriving flower garden. We usually grow various vegetables and fruits, but decided to skip those this year to keep things manageable. I'm excited to see how Meriwether enjoys the garden this year now that she's almost four (!!)
