Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

WEEKEND CINNAMON ROLLS

made from scratch ―

A few weeks ago, I set aside a Saturday morning to make these delicious cinnamon rolls for my family. I turned on my favorite soothing Spotify playlist and got to baking. They take a few hours to make since they're from scratch, but they're completely worth it. The recipe is actually a Cinnabon copycat and they're sure to make your repeat baking list. You can make them ahead of time or freeze the dough, which is probably what I'll do when I make them next.

A few additional notes...

One thing I wish I'd purchased prior to baking was plain dental floss for cutting. I had to use a knife so the rolls lost their round shape, but they still ended up fitting perfectly in my favorite French baking pan.

For the cinnamon-sugar portion of the recipe, I only used half of what was called for (when you make them you'll see, its a lot). My friend Em suggested making the full amount, and then using the excess in other things throughout the week like oatmeal. But of course, if you love tons of cinnamon and sugar in your rolls, you'll love it. I can't wait to make these again. I might bake them for Thanksgiving while visiting family in Virginia, or add them to my Christmas brunch menu!
