CLASSIC & SIMPLE SPRING FLOWER ARRANGING WITH TULIPS
The weather has turned here in Nashville and the beautiful winter snow is gone. We rarely get snow, so it was a special treat for us! I know it'll get chilly again soon, but I'm enjoying this Spring-like weather while I can. Being in the spirit, I picked up some white tulips at the grocery store the other day. I love watching Willow Crossley - arranging her delicate florals, and I figured I'd enjoy taking some time to follow suit. I linked a thirty second video below in case you're interested in watching!
Watch: Flower Arranging Video
Taking advantage of the morning light in our kitchen, I put these gorgeous flowers in a pedestal hurricane using clear tape to arrange the stems. I used a new technique I recently learned to invert some of the tulip petals -- it gave them a totally new look. I think they turned out beautifully! It also occurred to me that this could possibly be a simple centerpiece idea for a Spring wedding. I've included the vessels, supplies and tools I've purchased over the years to collect and arrange flowers both store-bought and cut from the side of the road. I can't wait to have my very own wildflower garden this Spring (!!) I'm planning to start sowing my seeds this weekend and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll take off. I just ordered this gorgeous vase last night in anticipation and I'm so excited for it to arrive! In just a few short weeks I hope to be filling it with all the pretty Spring flowers.
